Even Cowgirls Get the Blues is a 1993 American romantic comedy-drama film based on Tom Robbins' 1976 novel of the same name. The film was directed by Gus Van Sant (credited as Gus Van Sant Jr.) and starred an ensemble cast led by Uma Thurman, Lorraine Bracco, Angie Dickinson, Noriyuki "Pat" Morita, Keanu Reeves, John Hurt, and Rain Phoenix. Robbins himself was the narrator. The soundtrack was sung entirely by k.d. lang. The film was dedicated to the late River Phoenix.

Tierra de Lobos is a western set in nineteenth century Spain. Interpreted as Land of Wolves, it's really named after Anotonio Lobo, the well off landowner who controls and possesses the majority of the land. His entire world flips around when two criminals, Cesar and Roman Bravo, choose to come back to their youth home, situated on his property. What's more, the contention increases between them when Cesar and Almudena, the oldest of Lobo's four delightful little girls, wind up beginning to look all starry eyed at.
